#SimpleStamping FEBRUARY Challenge

Back to basics is Stampin' Up!s reason for starting #SimpleStamping and challenging demonstrators to show beginner stampers what they can do with stamps, ink and paper. This months theme is Happy Birthday so I have chosen to use one of the stamp sets Approaching Perfection that is offered as a free item for Sale a Bration.

For this card I have chosen to make my own background using the candle stamp from the Approaching Perfection stamp set. Purple is my favourite colour so I have chosen four shades of purple to use; Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. I have stamped each colour randomly on the Basic White cardbase. Then on a scrap piece of Basic White I have stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Gorgeous Grape and then cut a flag on both ends. I have adhered this with dimentionals.

And this is what it looks like on the inside.....

Free with any qualifying purchase ($110 before shipping & handling)

I hope this inspires you to try going back to basics or try a new hobby of paper crafting.

Happy crafting.
