As I continue to show case this months Suit of the Month, the new Hand- Penned Suite I have another project for you. I have also continued with the fun/fancy fold techniques this time using a pull out fancy fold featuring the Memory & More Cards & Envelopes as the base of the card.
I really love the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper and wanted it to be the hero of the card. For this card you will need a cardbase from the M & M cards and envelopes and then a second base cut at 8 x 6" I have used Mint Macaron as it coordinates with the colours in the Suite. This piece will need to be scored at 2" & 4" and folded in a zig-zag. Then cut a piece of DSP at 4 x 6". Adhere this to the front of the M & M cardbase. There should be a small border around the DSP. The next step is to cut a shape out of the front of the card, I have used the Layering Circle Dies.
You then need to cut the same size shape in Mint Macaron so that it will fit inside the whole you have created on the card front. In my example that is a circle. I have then die cut two further circles. one scalloped circle in Mint Macaron larger than the other one just created. And one smaller in Basic White for stamping on. The two Mint Macaron circles can be cut from the same piece of cardstock so the scalloped circle becomes a frame. I have adhered this to the card front. On the Basic White circle I have used the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set in the suite. I have stamped the outline images first in Memento Black ink and then the solid images in Highland Heather, Mint Macaron and our new In Colour Pale Papaya.
Stamp the same images on the inside of your Mint Macaron piece. When adhering your Mint Macaron piece to the card base make the Mint Macaron piece opens to the right. Adhere your white circle to your Mint Macaron circle. When adhering the circles to the Mint Macaron piece the easiest way to do this is closing the card and adding glue to the folded part of the Mint Macaron piece you can see through the whole. To complete the card add some of the Genial Gems to the front of the card. These come in Mint Macaron and Pale Papaya in two sizes.
